Philip A. Adelsberger, 62, of London, died Tuesday, April 26, 2022, in his residence. Philip was born November 25, 1959, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of John T. Adelsberger and Janice (Howsmon) Roby.
Phil worked as a facilities manager for The Ohio State University. He served as a township trustee for over 12 years for Monroe Township. Phil had many interests which included: boating, fishing, camping, cooking, gardening, wood working, wood boat restoration, and Lyman Boats. He had a love for music, his instruments included an accordion, guitar, piano, and harmonica.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years: Bridget (Ruhl) Adelsberger; Daughters: Elizabeth Adelsberger and Allison (Josh) Barton; sisters: JoAnn (David) Dhume and Jane Adelsberger; Step Siblings: Lori (Rob) Graber, Robert “Bubba” (Annette) Parsons, Doug (Joyce) Parsons, Vicki (Tom) Greco, and John “Jack” (Theresa) Parsons; Nieces and Nephews: Bryan (Kelly) Dhume, Erin Dhume, Jason (Amanda) Adelsberger, Megan (Matthew) Williams, Karie (Rob) Randall, and Katie (Brandon) Runyon; In laws: Terry and Linda Ruhl; Sister in law: Gretchen (Toni) Hackney; Numerous great nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins.
Phil is preceded in death by his parents; brother: Paul Adelsberger; Stepmother: Joan Adelsberger; Maternal Grandparents: Pete and Alice Howsmon; Paternal Grandparents: Ralph Adelsberger Sr. and Nellie Adelsberger Hennigan; Numerous aunts and uncles.
Friends are invited to call at the Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park Cedar Ridge Area, 1775 Darby Creek Drive, Galloway, Ohio 43119, Monday, May 2, 2022, from 3pm to 5pm with a memorial service officiated by Ben Pletcher to follow. Per the family: due to outdoor event please feel free to dress appropriately.
