Edith Lucille ‘Luddy’ Huffer, 82, of London, died Wednesday, November 30, 2022, in Sterling Place, Mount Sterling, after a long illness. Born July 19, 1940, in London, Ohio, she was the daughter of John and Violet (Wheeler) Mason. Luddy started working at The Kroger Company when she was 16 years old and worked there until her retirement in 1994. She married Ken Huffer on August 5, 1961. She loved bird watching, cooking, gardening, and playing cards with friends. She and her family owned, trained, and raced standard bred race horses. She attended the Staunton United Methodist Church until the onset of her illness. She was preceded in death by husband, Ken Huffer in 2017, her parents, brother John ‘Bud’ Mason and sister Ellen Smith. Survivors include her son Keith (Lisa) Huffer, granddaughters, Chelsea (Dustin) Caudill and Lindsay Huffer, all of London, also several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank the staffs of Sisters on Elm and Loving Care Hospice. In lieu of flowers the family would request that memorials in Luddy’s name be made to Ohio’s Hospice Loving Care, 779 London Ave, Marysville, Oh 43040. The family invites friends to call at the Lynch Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 124 E. High Street, London, Ohio, Friday, December 2, 2022, from 11:am until 1:pm, with a funeral service to follow at 1:pm. Pastor Wayne Stuntz will be officiating.
