David L. Beekman

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 11:00am at Big Plain Cemetery, Big Plain, Ohio. The family welcomes everyone following the service for a celebration of life with food at the Big Plain Township Hall

David L. Beekman, 78, of Cable, Ohio, died Tuesday, May 25, 2023, in his residence. Mr. Beekman was born July 3, 1944, in Big Plain, Ohio, a son of John W. and Thelma Lucille (Hutsler) Beekman Jr. Mr. Beekman served with the United States Navy from 1962-1968, during which he was active from 1964-1966. He was a member of Disabled American Vets, Viet Nam Vets, Odd Fellows, Miami Valley Steam Threshers, S.O.F.A., and A.B.A.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rebecca (Stuckey) Beekman; children: Paul (Tina) William Beekman of Big Plain; Billie Jo Beekman of London; David Michael Beekman of Cable; Amy Kay Baker of Cable, Ohio; Virginia Ann Beekman of Jackson; brother: Gary Allen Beekman Of Tampa, Florida; grandkids: Lacie (Tyler) Lookabaugh, Kara Gregg, Chaz (Pami) Curry, Cory (Sierra) Curry, Tawny Curry and companion Zachary Williams, Aaron Lewis, Becka Lewis and companion Robbie Henson, Kyle (Devin) Baker, Dusty Baker, and Ashlynne Stewart; 13 great-grandkids; numerous, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He has been preceded in death by his father; brother: George, and sister: Vickie Lynn Jones.
