Bill Justice (Freeman William) (May 8, 1940- March 17, 2024)
Bill was born on his family farm on State Route 56 and Junk Road in Mt. Sterling, Ohio. He attended Mount Sterling School from first grade through ninth grade, when he then moved to the farm on State Route 323 and attended tenth grade at Midway High School. Bill attended the new Madison South High School for eleventh and twelfth grade, serving as the first student council president, attended Boys State, played basketball and football, and was a member of the graduating class of 1958.
He attended Austin Peay SU in Clarksville, Tennessee, receiving his Bachelor of Science in agriculture and biology in 1962. Bill served as the freshman class Vice President, was on student council for four years, and played basketball and ran track.
Bill served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965. During this time Bill was stationed in Ft. Knox, Japan, Korea, and Ft. Benning. Bn. Commo Chief and training NCO of US Officers, Katusa, and civilian personnel. 8th Army Basketball.
He worked in sales and management with companies such as IHC, Goodyear, Emerson Electric and Powerton. Motors, bearings, conveyors, rubber products, gear drives, clutches, and brakes. He retired after working for thirty years.
Bill worked for ten more years as a vocational horticulture teacher and greenhouse production at LOCI, retiring for good in 2002.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Corbett and Ruth Justice, wife Bobbi (Hunter), and brother Steve Justice.
He is survived by his siblings: Jim (Jeanie) Justice, Ray (Claudia) Justice, Marilyn (Ron) Stewart; Children: Gina (Mike) Bell and Scott (Ingrid) Justice; Grandchildren: Joshua, Emilee, Owen, Grace, and Caleb.
On Friday, April 5, 2024, the family invites friends to the Range Township Cemetery for a graveside service at 10:00am, followed by visitation at the London First United Methodist Church at 11:00, with a memorial service to begin at 11:30 pm.
Bill's family has requested that memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Loving Care, 2269 Cherry Valley Road, Newark, Ohio 43055.
Bill's services have been entrusted to Lynch Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 124 East High Street, London, Ohio 43140.
