Mary Kathryn (Edwards) Day

Mary Kathryn (Edwards) Day, 72, of London, died Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the Mount Carmel Medical Center, Columbus. Mary was born April 13, 1946 in Columbus, a daughter of Leland and Mary K. (Parrett) Edwards. She was retired from Capitol Manufacturing in West Jefferson after 33 years. She was very proud of the fact that she was a breast cancer survivor and had been a hospice volunteer with Loving Care Hospice, London. She loved to spend time with her family. Mary is survived by her children: Glen Reed of Galax, Virginia: Jolynne Reed of South Charleston; sister: Dorothy Setty of London; brother: Alan Edwards of Grove City; grandchildren: Jessica Gray, Joshua Caldwell, Kaleigh Hodges, Amanda Reed, Alyssa Reed, Steven Reed, and Lukas Reed; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her: parents; sons: James Lee Reed and Michael Duane Reed; brother: William Lee Edwards; sister: Ethel Charlene Migneron; half-brothers: Robert Edwards; Junior Edwards; half-sister: Phyllis Ann McClaskie; great granddaughter: Elizabeth Grace Caldwell. A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2019, from 4-7 PM., the Rader-Lynch & Dodds Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 E. High St., London. Mary’s family requests that memorial contributions be made, in Mary’s memory, to the American Lung Association in Ohio, 5900 Wilcox Place, Dublin, Ohio 43016.
