Jerry Boggs Obituary

Jerry Lee Boggs, 75 of London died Sunday June 30, 2019 surrounded by his wife and family, at the James Center after a short complication with cancer. He was born in Springfield on April 30, 1944 to Elmer Donald Boggs and Anna Mae (French) Shuler. Jerry was a member of the American Legion Post #105, where he was Past Commander of the Sons of the American Legion (SAL) and a past member of the Color Guard. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles London Aerie # 950.

Jerry worked 31 years at Lennox Industries before it moved to Iowa. He then worked for Nelson-Ball and Long's Plumbing before medically retiring in 2008. He had many phases and pleasures in his life. He enjoyed camping at Walnut Lake and fishing at Lake Erie, bowling, golfing and country music, where he even tried his hand in singing with Jerry Lee and the Country Girls. His latest passion was horse racing with his best buddy Bruce, and he was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. 

Preceded in death by his parents, step father Jim Shuler, step mother Martha Boggs, brothers Mike and Donnie Boggs, sister Beverly Cooper, sons Nickey Lee and Richard Boggs, daughter Susan Lynett, granddaughter Sara Marie Boggs and grandson Kyle Boggs. Jerry leaves behind his beloved wife of 44 years Jill Boggs, sons Jeremy Alan and Jerry Mason Boggs, daughters Angie Howerton, Robin Perigo and Lisa Whited. Sister Diane (Ron) Shuler, grandchildren Kelsey Boggs, Jenifer Perigo, Ashley Nolan, Drew Howerton, Chad Perigo, Justin Whited, Brandon, Corey and Tarron Boggs, Christopher Dunn and Josh Corwin. Eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jerry's family invites friends to call at the RADER-LYNCH & DODDS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE on Friday from 11:00 AM until time of service at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Bruce Sigman officiating. Following Jerry's wishes, cremation will follow. Condolences to www.rldfh.com.
