Betty J. Lambert, 96 of London died January 6, 2019 in the Bluebird Retirement Community. Born in Madison County on June 23, 1922 to Glenn and Alice ( Barker) VanDyke. She was formerly employed at Kroger and attended the London Church of God.
Survived by son: Lloyd (Janice) Lambert of Columbus; daughters in law: Peggy Lambert of London; Hester Lambert of London; sister in law: Delores VanDyke of Kentucky; granddaughters: Cynthia (Mark) Reaver, Pamela (David) Turvy, Lynda (Josh) Wood, Deborah Woods, Lynette Lambert; step grandchildren: Carol (Kirk) Johnson and Bruce Henry. Fourteen great grandchildren and 28 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, husband Thurman "Bill" Lambert, son Therman Lambert, great grandson Nicholas Burks, great-granddaughter Sara Boggs, sisters and brother in law Virginia Miller, Dorothy and Charlie Miller, brothers and sisters in law George and Mary VanDyke, Glen Dale VanDyke, David and Pat VanDyke and several nephews.
The family invites friends to call at the RADER-LYNCH & DODDS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE on Wednesday from 3-6 PM. Graveside service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM in Paint Memorial Cemetery, with Brother Roy Hatfield officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Fellowship and food will be available after the graveside service at the London Nazarene Church, 224 Elm St. London, Ohio.
