Arthur J. Rapier

Arthur J. Rapier, 89, of London, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 after a brief illness, at Madison Health, London. Mr. Rapier was born March 25, 1928 in Whitley County, Kentucky, a son of Arthur Lee and Martha M. (Littrell) Rapier. He is a long time member of the Grace Baptist Church, London and was a retired bus driver with the Greyhound Bus Company. He enjoyed bird watching, cooking, gardening as he was blessed with a Green thumb, watching and listening to major league baseball, particularly the Cincinnati Reds. Arthur and his wife, Joe Ann moved to Choctaw Lake, London in the late seventies due to his interest in fishing. Survivors include his daughter: Patricia L. (Robert) Nasal of Powell; son: Arthur W. Rapier of London; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his, parents; wife: Joe Ann Rapier; daughter: Kathy Jo Rapier; sister: Evylee Potts; brother: J.S. Rapier. Friends are invited to call at the Rader-Lynch & Dodds Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 E. High Street, London, Thursday from 6-8 PM., where a funeral service will be held Friday, 11:00 AM., with the Reverend Dwain Hill officiating. Interment service will follow at the Paint Township Cemetery, London. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made, in Mr. Rapier's memory to: Central Ohio Diabetes Association, 1100 Dennison Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43201, or Grace Baptist Church, 121 N. Madison St., London.
